When you subscribe to our emails, you are automatically entered into a free drawing to win a 1 night stay at Mount Virginia for 2 people, and monthly drawings to win a free baker's dozen of our shortbread. 

Who: Anyone subscribed to our mailing list as of December 6, 2025. You must be actively subscribed to our email list at the time of each drawing to win.

When: The drawing for the free stay will take place on December 6, 2025. The winner will be notified via email, and we will announce the winner to our email list and social media accounts. You are responsible for keeping their email address up to date and maintained to receive word if you win the stay. 

FAQ

If I sign up more than once, will my name be entered in the drawing more than once? 

No. Signing up to our email list more than once (say both in person and online) will not double your entries into the drawing. We will only include each unique, active email subscriber as of December 6, 2025 in the drawing for the free stay.

When will I be able to book the stay? 

As soon as the drawing has taken place, the winner can book the stay. Your exact accommodation is based on availability. You must book your stay within 365 days of winning your stay.

What is included in the free stay?

The free stay includes 1 night accommodation for 2 people at Mount Virginia, check in after 3pm and check out before 11am the next morning. Breakfast is included in the stay, and menu is confirmed in advance of your stay. Please reach out if you would like more information about our accommodations on the Contact Us page.

Can I gift the stay to someone else?

If you win the stay, but are not able to redeem it, you can gift it to someone else, once. You must email us cc'ing the email address of the person you are gifting it to. They may not gift it to anyone else if they are unable to use it. They are subject to the same free drawing terms as anyone else.

When do the monthly drawings take place? 

We will draw for the monthly baker's dozen shortbread cookies at the end of each calendar month. The winner will be notified via email, and will be required to provide a shipping address at that time to receive their shortbread cookies. We will also announce the winner in our emails and on our social media accounts. 

Can I opt out of the drawing? 

If you would not like your name to be included the drawing, reach out to us on the Contact Us page with the email subject "Opt Out of Free Drawing."
